Abstrak

This study aims to determine the increase in the recognition of geometric shapes in children aged 5-6 years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Bebidas Kindergarten with a total of 15 children, including 4 boys and 11 girls. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The data collection technique in this study uses two procedures, namely observation and documentation. Based on the data from the results of the classroom action research presented, it can be concluded that through traditional engklek game activities, it can increase the recognition of geometric shapes in group B children at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Bebidas Kindergarten in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This increase can be proven by the increase in children's recognition of geometric shapes in each cycle, obtained before the action (pre-cycle) classical completeness was obtained by 26.67%, in cycle I classical completeness was obtained by 66.67%, in cycle II classical completeness was obtained by 86.67%. The conclusion of this study is that the increasing Implementation of Traditional Engklek Games has been proven to increase the recognition of Geometric shapes in Children Aged 5-6 Years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Bebidas Kindergarten in the 2023/2024 Academic Year
