The aim of this classroom action research (PTK) is to improve the beginner reading skills of children aged 5-6 years (group
B) at PGRI 34 Tanak Mira Wanasaba Kindergarten for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research was carried out at
PGRI 34 Tanak Mira Wanasaba Kindergarten with a total of 19 students consisting of 7 boys and 12 girls. This research is
classroom action research with 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research
consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of three meetings. And data collection techniques in this research use
observation techniques and work instructions. The results of the research in the initial conditions, cycle I and cycle II were
as follows, in the initial conditions there were 8 children or 42% of students who received the criteria for not yet developing,
in the first cycle there were 1 child or 5%, and in the second cycle there were no children. those who received the criteria
have not yet developed. In the initial condition, the number of students with the criteria for starting to develop was 7
children or 37%, in cycle I there were 11 children, 58%, in cycle II there were 4 children or 21% starting to develop. Then
there were 4 children with the criteria for developing according to expectations in the initial conditions, or 21%, in cycle I
there were 4 children or 21%, in cycle II there were 6 children or 32% developing according to expectations. Meanwhile, in
the initial conditions, there were no students who developed very well, in the first cycle there were 3 children or 16% and in
the second cycle there were 9 children or 47%. In the initial condition, there were 4 children who got BSH and BSB scores
or reached classical completeness 21%. In cycle I there were 7 children with classical completeness reaching 37%, while in
cycle II there were 15 children with classical completeness reaching 79%. So this research is considered successful because
it has met the predetermined success indicators and this research ends in cycle II
